Printer ink cartridges are expensive. Manufacturers have installed an expiration chip into most ink cartridges made today. They will expire and quit working even if it is still full of ink- forcing you to purchase new ink cartridges. There are chip resetters and instructions for resetting printer ink chips, however, these can be hard to understand or impossible to do. It is recommended that you purchase a ink cartridge that has a modded chip in it. These are never expiring chips or it is automatically reset when you refill your ink cartridges. Another alternative is to use a continuous ink supply system which creates a continuous feed of ink to your printer. They work great and the ink used today for refills is very high quality, basically the exact same ink as the manufacturer provides.
